The rescue worked with the MSPCA to get ownership of the family.
Metro, the stallion, was gelded, and the mother, Tee, and baby were put in their own paddock. None of them wanted much of anything to do with humans - least of all the baby.
The rescue held a fundraiser to name her. Bay State Breeze.
At this time, both Tee and Metro have found homes where they are cherished. Breeze, stunted in her growth some by the malnourishment in her infancy, is still with us.
A pretty chestnut with two Appy spots - one on her bum and one on her shoulder - she's got a lively personality, likes to be challenged, and still loves to play.
She's had some ground training and has good ground manners, but she really needs a single person she can bond with over time, who will give her the attention that she deserves.
Do you know who that special person might be?
Baby, look how far you've come!
